Agra is the City where Taj Mahal - one of the Seven Wonders of the World is situated symmetrically designed architecture with pure white marble stone and extensive inlay of precious and semi-precious stones on it makes the entire structure simply marvelous. On arrival proceed to Taj Mahal - built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the year 1652 as a memorial for his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal It took 22 years to create this jewel. Lunch at Hotel After lunch visit Agra Fort - located on the banks of river Yamuna, this massive fort was created by four successive Mughal rulers. Its various chambers and pavilions give a distinct variation in architectural style of a different era. From some of the pavilions one can get a breathtaking view of Taj Mahal. Spend some time shopping before driving back to Delhi. Agra is famous for handicrafts. The inlay work on marble is the biggest attraction for tourists. Around 5:30 PM start your journey back to Delhi. Arrive at your hotel around 10:00 P.M |
